Our Story
HOW WE MET
Our journey began on a warm summer evening at a mutual friend’s beach bonfire in Southern California. Sabrina Martinez was watching the sun set over the waves when Luke Bennett struck up a conversation about surfboards and shared stories of his favorite beach spots. What started as small talk turned into a deep connection, and before we knew it, we were inseparable. That night marked the beginning of an incredible adventure together.
OUR ADVENTURES TOGETHER
Our relationship has been filled with spontaneous road trips, endless beach days, and exploring new cities. We’ve spent weekends hiking in the mountains, sampling food from farmers' markets, and hosting backyard BBQs with friends. Whether we’re dancing under the stars at a local music festival or enjoying quiet moments watching the sunrise, we’ve discovered that the best memories come from being with each other.
THE PROPOSAL
Luke proposed on a romantic evening while we were vacationing in Tulum. After a day of exploring ancient Mayan ruins and lounging on the white sand beaches, he surprised Sabrina with a candlelit dinner at an oceanside restaurant. As the waves lapped against the shore, Luke got down on one knee and asked Sabrina to marry him. Sabrina’s response, full of tears and laughter, was a heartfelt yes, surrounded by the sound of the ocean and the warmth of the setting sun.
WHY TULUM?
Tulum holds a special place in our hearts as one of our favorite travel destinations. From the breathtaking turquoise waters and the rich history of the Mayan ruins to the laid-back vibe of the town, Tulum is where we felt our love deepen and our adventures grow. We can’t think of a more beautiful and meaningful place to celebrate our wedding than this paradise that has given us so many cherished memories.

Fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN), the closest major airport to Tulum. CUN is serviced by many airlines with direct international and domestic flights. From the airport, Tulum is about a 1.5–2 hour drive.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
From Cancún International Airport, you can rent a car, book a private shuttle, or take a shared shuttle service directly to Tulum. Many transportation services are available for pre-booking to make your arrival smooth and stress-free.
GETTING AROUND TULUM
